Author Ricky Bickham is considered a pioneer of New Orleans bounce, an indigenous local subgenre of rap. He has multi-generational appeal, as the songs he wrote in the 1990s are still regularly played by DJs throughout Louisiana. He is also a cultural historian and advocate for New Orleans music and culture.
Ricky graduated in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University, graduating magna cum laude.
After years of penning music, he decided to explore his writing skills as an author with the same mindset and approach to writing music. He recently published a true ride-or-die novel, GREED: Lifestyles Of People With Money And Who Want More. This book tells the lifestyles of those working behind the doors of boardrooms and how that work can quickly transfer behind the doors of the bedroom.
He writes often and has already completed his next book titled Shake For Ya Hood with a subtitle, It All Started Out Growing Up In The Project.
